Seoul Garden

For FHE (Family Home Evening) this past Monday we went out to eat. James came home from work and informed us that he was craving Korean food. As most of you know, James lived in Korea for about 4 years while in the Army and my cute little Justin is half Korean. Neither James nor I are able to cook an authentic Korean meal, which meant we were going out. He took us to a wonderful Korean restaurant named Seoul Garden. I must be honest, as we pulled up to the location in a some what different type of area, I was a little concerned how this food would turn out. But I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied. A beautiful Family, with yummy Food, and lots of Fun is what made this FHE a success!

Sariah is a little too young for the food on the table so she enjoyed her Squash and Rice.

This soup looks sort of gross with the grey noodles but it was actually good, promise.

They have this heating thing in the middle of the table where you cook your meat. I forgot to take a picture of the purple rice...it was so yummy! It was purple because of the beans that they mix with it. Also there where a whole bunch of different types of wraps for our food that I didn't take a picture of...we had lettuce leaves, mint leaves, seaweed, cabbage, and something else...I can't remember off the top of my head.

Sariah was suprisingly good at this restaurant..she is getting so big...she will be 6 months in just a few more days.

Big Brother Justin

My cute boy Justin brings so much joy to my life. Here are just a few pictures of him doing some of his favorite things...(believe it or not he has been hiding from my camera recently so I have had to take these pictures on covert missions)

Justin loves to read whatever he can get his hands on...seriously he has pulled some of the college level books off the book case and tried to read them...he doesn't get very far but he tries and it's amazing.

If we let him...he would spend hours a day on his Nintendo DS.

He also loves to spend time with his sister. She loves him spending time with her as well...as long as he isn't trying to scare her...she isn't a fan of being scared.

He kept trying to mess up the pictures and

hide from the camera...he is such a goof.

Eating with Cuteness

Sariah is so cute that sometimes I find it difficult to get much done because I just want to play with her and get her to smile at me. She melts my heart and makes me giggle all the time. Oh the simple joys of motherhood.
She was having so much fun eating her peas this past week that I had to take the time to snap a few shots with my cell phone. Okay so it's more then a few but I think they tell a great story....

Those peas are so yummy mom...Promise I loved them!

Follow the Prophet

My friend Carrie posted this quote and it felt so right for me to post it again on here. With everything that is going on in the world today I am so grateful to have a Prophet at the head of the church. So grateful for the counsel to do what is right in these trying times.

"Make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters, in the months and years ahead, events are likely to require each member to decide whether or not he will follow the First Presidency. Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions. President Marion G. This is hard doctrine, but it is particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked. In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ... Your discipleship may see the time when such religious convictions are discounted... This new irreligious imperialism seeks to disallow certain opinions simply because those opinions grow out of religions convictions.

Resistance to abortion will be seen as primitive. Concern over the institution of the family will be viewed as untrendy and unenlightened... Even in these, however, let us leave a record so that the choices are clear, letting others do as they will in the face of prophetic counsel. Uncle Hugh

A little over a week ago my cute brother Hugh found his way to the great state of Texas! It is so wonderful to have a family member living in the same area. So far he has been to our place 4 times and I love it. Today I finally took a picture of him to prove to those who doubt that he is actually here. He came over to use the internet and well he got distracted from his endeavors by his cute niece. Even though he is here for only a few months I am grateful for the little things. Little brothers are the greatest!

About a month ago my wonderful husband purchased me an Electra Townie 21. I love it! The evenings that I don't get to go out and spend time riding around make a huge difference in my attitude. I enjoy the time I get to be just me and the bike with no other worries. I can clear my head of all concerns and just be thinking about how fast I can go and if I will beat my time around the route tonight. I have found a new love for biking and enjoy my beautiful blue bike more then words can express. This post is dedicated to my bike....hmmm...I haven't named her yet...any suggestions?

I took this pic while I was driving. Sariah all of a sudden got really quite in the car and I turned around to see what she was doing and she was staring at me. It was so darn cute. She stared at me for a good 5 minutes. Long enough for me to take a picture.

I look a little scary but Sariah is so cute in her new towel from Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Kent.

Halloween

Having Halloween on a Friday meant that we had the whole weekend to celebrate. Saturday we had a party at the church and Justin had fun with all the games.

Thank Goodness for Dallas Layovers

Grandma Jeannie and Grandpa Jim spent 2 weeks in Virginia on a little vacation and on their way back they had an 8 hour layover in Dallas! We were so excited to see them and wish they could of stayed longer. We feel so blessed to be a part of such a great big loving family. We are grateful for every moment we get with our family from all over. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming to spend a little time with us. Here are some pics from their time with us.
