My Demise

My demise, seriously it feels like dishes will be the death of me. I hardly ever get them done on the first night of dishes. It takes me 2 to 3 nights before I get them all done. I do get a lot of time to look out my pretty window and think but AAGGHH a whole hour of standing there! The sink is full and the pile is onto the counter....there are so many here!!

I am looking forward to having a house with a dishwasher. Oh I can hardly wait. Hopefully I will survive the hand washing experience to feel blessed again with a dishwasher. Has anyone ever died of having to wash too many dishes?

It's okay, as the kiddos grow up-the dishes mutliply but so do the helpers!

Ugh, I hate hand-washing dishes. I feel for you Tiana! In college I lived with four other roommates so we each randomly got a day of the week that we were in charge of dishes. (Weekends we just did our own if we were around). The rule was if you didn't get your day's dishes done by midnight you had to do the next day's dishes too. My good friend Meredith loved the fact that she had the day after me because she hardly ever had to do dishes. :) Luckily I never had to do three days worth of dishes in a row though. That was one vow I made and stuck too! :) Just remember you only have a few more weeks of this chore! And be sure to take a few moments when you are done and look at all the clean, sparkly dishes...that picture will help the next time you see a stack of dirty dishes next to the sink!
*sigh* Sadly no one has died from doing dishes...or any other household chore... ;) :)

This is where an ipod and good audio books become vital!

I have a dishwasher but I don't put pots, glasses, sippee cups or cooking utensils in it, so I handwash all of that. It takes me an hour to get dishes done as well.
I am glad I am not the only one that it takes multiple days to get dishes done sometimes!

Tiana i just finished doing the dishes and i think it took me around an hour and a half. Our dishwasher isn't working right know and we have a family of 8. After one meal we have so many dishes, i only hope i can get through the rest of the month with my sift! One thing that really helps pass the time is music! Thank Jesus for music!!
