Job Job Job

We got great news this past weekend. James got a job and we are excited. He decided to tell me in a tricky way. He has been having interviews every week with different companies. This week was no different, so while I was putting groceries away he came in the kitchen to tell me he didn't get a job.
Being the supportive wife I said "oh that's ok, you had those other interviews and you really wanted that other job anyway, maybe that one will work out."
Then he proceeds to say with a solemn looking face, "well I found about that one too and I didn't get the other job because I got this one."
I had to do a double take as I realized he got the job he wanted and a scream of shock came out of me. It is so exciting for us that he got a job and that we are suppose to be here in AZ. I was starting to doubt things a bit but this has been a huge answer to many prayers in more ways then I can begin to explain....even down to what he gets to do....he is going to love this new job!!!!!
Congrats to my amazing husband who works soooo hard to take care of our family! I love you!

Cranky

I woke up so uber-cranky this morning...you know the kind of cranky where no one could do anything right. Why did I have to be that way?

How can you help the military???

Some of you may know that I am a couponer...I don't know if that is a word or not. I coupon weekly and love it. I know you might think this is too much work and sometimes my obsession can turn into a lot of work but it doesn't have to be...I just make it that way.
I am also a supporter of our military. I have 2 brothers who were in the military, a husband, grandpa's, and uncles. They have all sacrificed for our freedoms.
Anyway, I found a way for my obsession with coupons to turn into a benefit for the military men and women serving overseas. I am posting this in hopes that there are other couponers who would love to help the military as well. Did you know that overseas military members and their families can use expired coupons up to six months past their expiration? Isn't that awesome? All of those coupons that I end up throwing away or can't use will now go to a good cause besides the garbage!
If you would like to help here is the link to the blog where I found out the information. What do you think?

Soccer Season with AYSO has begun!!

Soccer Season has started for our little Justin, this is his very first season. For the past 3 weeks he has been going to practice and loving every moment of it. I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures because my camera is on the fritz. I had to turn it on and off a thousand times just to get a few pictures. Anyway, enjoy what I could get.

Here he is on the field. He is on the far left. That is our number 8 standing right there intently waiting for the ball to come back up field.

The fans were out to cheer him on.

Pops was watching with baited breath.

Sariah was a sweaty mess.

Even though his team loss their first game, Justin had a fun time and could still crack a smile at the end.

It was hot outside so everyone was happy to get inside the air conditioned car.

And to celebrate the first game we had to go to somewhere special....Peter Piper Pizza was the choice. Here the kids are enjoying a little ride.

Pedicures

A friend of mine said to me the other day...what woman doesn't love a pedicure? At the time when this was said I could think of a few women (that I know personally) who do not like their feet touched, they would be the ones who wouldn't love a pedicure. But I have got to say I am not one of those women. I love, love, love pedicures and you can never ever go wrong in getting me a gift that has to do with a pedicure.
Seriously, these things are amazing. You pay people to clean your feet, get all the dirt and callouses off. After the thorough cleaning, they proceed to rub your feet and legs...massages are heavenly especially on tired feet! Then they paint those little toes whatever color you choose and they look so great! Oh I love them.
We got our toes painted last week as a little gift for being great mom's and I took a picture of the finished product. Can you tell which toes are mine? Thanks again Patty! Anytime you need a pedicure buddy, let me know!

Serious Hair Issues

My cute little gal has serious hair issues....I mean issue because of the fact that she will not keep a hair accessory on top of her head. I love her hair and I want it to grow super long like her mama's. But she also has the prettiest eyes that I want everyone to be able to see and I want her to be able to see everything in the world around her.
Here is a side view of the great length her hair was at a few weeks ago. These adorable pig tails were put in her hair 5 minutes before we left for church. She managed to get one side out in the 5 minutes before we got to church. She pulled the other one out before the opening hymn was even playing. I managed to do a pig tail right on top of her head that she couldn't reach but it was too funny for me to keep it in the whole day and take a picture.

There are a few rare moments when she will let me put in these cute hair accessories...they last maybe 10 minutes before she pulls them out. She kept this cute one in from Cherry Blossoms for almost an hour one day...it was so amazing that I took a picture.

Seriously what am I to do? Am I destined to have a cute adorable girl with hair issues? Help!!!

Camp LoMia Weekend

Last weekend our ward had a camp out up at the ever popular Camp LoMia. This is the camp location where the Young Women go every summer for girls camp. It was a fun little location. Here is Sariah right after we got out of the car...she had a little trouble at first walking on the rocky road but she loved it.

Pops and Papa Moore where waiting for us in front of the cabin they had staked out.

This was the name of our cabin. It was the only cabin that had indoor plumbing. We were lucky. It was a nice one compared to all of the others. Thanks to Pops and Honey for getting this cabin and sharing it with us!

Justin found a tire swing and he loved it.

The campground has tons of blackberry bushes. They line the creek that is in the middle of the camp. It was awesome. We had so much fun picking them and eating them.

This is Sariah's little hand taking some blackberries out of James' hand. She loved them too.

Our hands were covered in juice.

Brynn fell in the creek while we were picking berries. I wasn't quick enough with the camera to catch her in the creek but I got the wet backside.

James and I went for a little hike and he found a blue bellied lizard and caught it to show Justin.

The Lizard did not want to be caught.

You can see the blue belly and and it's tight grip on James' hand here.

Sariah loves her Pops.

Early Saturday morning James and Justin went out to pick more berries. Can u see them?

This is the creek they were picking in.

Sariah loved walking around on this bridge early in the morning. It was about 70 degrees up at Camp LoMia so she got to wear some warmer clothes not normal for hot August Arizona weather.

Little Miss has come to the stage in life were she does not like people picking her up just because they can pick her up...she has to give you permission to do so. If you don't have that permission this is the face she will make as she struggles to get away from you.

Playing in the dirt.

After breakfast James and I went for a hike with the little one. She was tired so we had her in the bjorn. Which for the most part she still loves to be in that thing....being that she is still tiny enough for it. She almost fell asleep while James was carrying her.

She got close to sleep but she wanted her Mama. So I turned her around in it and took off the extra hot sweater and out she went.

She just looks so peaceful as she sleeps.

It was a great trip and we really had a fun time with everyone.

Visiting the Grand Canyon

On our way back to Arizona from Hugh's wedding we made a detour to the Grand Canyon. Neither James or I had ever been and we wanted to see it with our kiddos. We will be planning another trip when the munchkin is a little bit bigger so we can do some camping and hiking too. It is truly a beautiful place.

When we arrived it seemed a little smoggy. I didn't realize there was a problem with smog at the Grand Canyon. Later in our drive through Flagstaff we found out there was a fire going on in Flagstaff which made the Grand Canyon look all smoggy. I am glad it was just a fire that made the pictures look all smoggy and not pollution. Next time we will get better ones.

We entered the Grand Canyon at the East entrance and exited at the South entrance. We stopped at 5 look outs.
Here is our first look out. You can see the river in this shot.

Here is James with the kiddos. Justin has that fake smile going on again.

Our first look out had this pretty cool watch tower that you could climb up and see a good distance of the canyon.

I didn't get any pics while we were climbing up but I got some of them climbing down. Thanks to Daddy for carrying the baby girl.

On the move to the next look out.

So sad that you can't see the glorious Grand Canyon behind us in this shot. It was so beautiful. Stupid fire smoke. But we did get a family shot at our 2nd stop.

This bird was huge. I don't know what it was, but it was so big I had to take a picture...you can also see part of the river with rapids.

Here is the fake smile again at stop 3.

Then here is my happy boy with a real smile. Oh he really is the cutest thing!

So pretty and not as smoggy.

Daddy and Baby girl.

I think this was our last stop and you still can't see how glorious the canyon looks but you get our cute family with a bit in the background.

Cute Justin contemplating the enormousness of the Grand Canyon.

My favorite picture, they are such great kiddos.
Little munchkin walking on a wall with the canyon below.
Little Miss loves her Daddy and they have a lot of fun together. Here she is getting a ride back to the car so we can drive out of the canyon and on to our home.

Can you tell that she wanted to stay out of the car and play a little bit longer?
