Last Game of the AYSO Soccer Season

We had a lot of fun our first season of soccer with AYSO. Justin did a great job for a beginner and had a blast. His coach commented more then once on his natural ability and talent that he just needs to be taught the technical bit of it all. I am looking forward to many more seasons of soccer.
Such a happy little man. Fans here to cheer him on for the last game.

For their last game all the boys linked arms and walked out to the refs. Justin is number 8 and had unlinked his arms by the time I got the camera out.

Sariah loves her Honey's water bottle.

Me and my gal.

Honey and Laurel

Here is an action shot of Justin kicking a ball.

Justin with some of his adoring fans.

Such handsome men I have in my life.

End of the season pizza party.

Justin was so excited to get his very first trophy.

Justin and his coach with his trophy and new soccer ball. Coach gave him a soccer ball for being such a dedicated player and to encourage him to continue playing.

Big Ben

Justin and I were bike riding home from school one day when a huge Great Dane meandered up to us. He had no tags on him and was running around on a busy street. So we convinced him to follow us home. He only stayed with us for a few hours while we got a hold of animal control to pick him up but we all fell in love with him. We even named him Big Ben.
Can you tell how big he is compared to Dad and Patty's dog Paisleigh? Paisleigh is a chocolate lab and pretty big for her size but Big Ben totally towarded over her.
Sariah seriously could not get enough of Big Ben. She thought he was the greatest. Big Ben didn't mind her giving him hugs and kisses either but he totally knocked her over on accident when he walked away from her.
Justin is the one who got Big Ben to follow us home by saying "here puppy" over and over again. He was sad to see Big Ben go when Animal Control came to take him away.

Laurel Lou and Her Musical Play Debut

Miss Laurel was in her first musical with a singing solo and we got to go see her perform. She played one of the girls in a tribute to the musical Annie.

Here she is singing Easy Street

Such a cute gal.

The show was a mix of 1930's themed radio shows and ran about an hour and a half. The kids did a pretty good job,.

If anything it was fun to watch Laurel in her first play and it will be interesting to see where this will lead her in the future.

Another Hiking Day in November

We left to go hiking a little bit earlier in the day and loved the view of the valley from the top of the ridge.
We hiked up and down ridge line for about 2 hours.

Sariah wasn't as good of a hiker this time and looking back on it I think she was teething and cold. James and I traded back and forth on who was carrying her depending on who she wanted at the time. I did catch one little smile from her before the tears started.

My little Justin is always full of smiles. Isn't he so handsome?

Sariah got the privilege to get out of the backpack for a moment. It didn't last very long but she loved it.

James is not wearing a pink belt, it's Sariah's sippy cup.

Super Hikers

An awesome rock formation that was taller then James. You can't tell cause we weren't able to get close to it but it was huge.

Cold Soccer Game

Justin's soccer game 10 days ago was at 8 in the morning and it rained pretty much the whole game. Those little guys were freezing but still won their game. I only got two pics of the whole thing because of the rain and the wind.
Here they are at the beginning of the game in their huddle . Here you can see the storm clouds and hardly anyone at the game besides the players and a few onlookers.

Brynn's Birthday

November also gives us a chance to celebrate Brynn as her birthday is a few days after Dad's.
She was so excited to turn 14 she kept counting down the days. Can you see the excitement on her face?I thought this was a great picture with Menleigh's scowling face and Justin's big smile. Everyone was excited for Brynn's yummy treat.

Instead of a cake Brynn got homemade whoopie cookies that were so yummy.

I got her right before she blew out the candles...I love it...an action shot. Happy Birthday Brynn...Love you and all you bring to life. You are awesome!

Fun Time at the Park

Little Miss loves the park. We can spend an hour there with out her getting bored. She makes new friends every time and has lots of fun being fearless.
Sariah doesn't care that she is little if there is a stair she will climb it.

I am never far away when she climbs things....people are amazed that this little gal can climb the way she does. But they also think she is younger then she really is.

This is the part that scares me...when she gets to the top there is a gap but she makes it across perfectly fine.

This little gal loves to climb around at the park.

She also loves to go down the slides.

The other day she climbed up on the slide and started to sing a little song that had no discernible tune or words.

But she was intent on making sure she was heard.

So much dedication to her singing. I wish I would of captured this in video.

The whole concept of the rock wall still eludes Sariah but she makes her own fun with it.

When I took this picture I had no idea what she was about to do. Normally she will just go up to this ladder and look at it for a moment, then walk away.

But she decided to start climbing. She gets to the second wrung on the ladder and then can't get any higher. I was shocked and amazed at how strong her little body is. She really has no fear of heights or climbing. Is that normal?
