Blue and Gold Banquet times 2

We had the opportunity to go to 2 blue and gold banquets this year. One with the new ward we haven't quite moved into fully. One with the old ward that we haven't quite moved out of fully.
I forgot to take my camera to the first one.
Here is Sariah at the 2nd one...is she giving cuteness here or attitude? She won't go anywhere without that purse on her shoulder. 100 year celebration of boy scouts

Oh my goodness she found a noise maker?! Did she need any enhancements in the noise making department? No! Boy howdy she loved that thing until it successfully broke!

This picture does not do justice to the yumminess of this cake. Oh it was so good. The icing was spectacular. Yes those are ding dongs and chocolate covered doughnuts all around it. I didn't touch those things but loved the little bit of this cake that I tried....I craved it for 2 days after...it was that good.

Justin goofing around with a friend.

Justin got to be the flag bearer.

This was his first time presenting the colors and I had to capture it on camera.

There little troop.

Rosa's Fudge

About a month ago I won some yummy fudge from this awesome Cherry Blossoms Handmade Design blog.

A few weeks after I won, I got my prize samples in the mail from Rosa's Fudge.
Here are the flavors that I tasted and oohh I loved them all soooo very much. Normally I am not a fudge fan but these were amazing.
My favorite would have to of been the chocolate coconut. I got 2 of them because I knew it would be my favorite. If you love Maple Bar doughnuts you will love the maple flavored fudge. It wasn't my favorite but then again I don't like maple bars very much. It tasted just like the maple bar flavor.
Since I am counting calories I was impressed how easy they made it for me to log my calorie intake on each piece of fudge. There was an insert with all the nutritional information. The highest piece of fudge was about 160 calories and the lowest 140 calories per piece. Which is normal range of calories for decadent yummy chocolate. I was able to have one a day and not "fudge" on my calorie counting.

Go on over to Rosa's Fudge and get yourself something yummy!
No I wasn't paid at all to make this review....I just did it cause I found something yummy that I wanted to share with you all.

Wedding Fun with Rachel

The whole point of Rachel's quick trip was to celebrate this beautiful lady and all the involved her wedding day!
Here is Rachel and StephThe cake...I thought it looked cool...different....cool.

Steph admiring there cake.

Sariah was my date for the evening and she loved being dressed up and dancing.

Here is Sariah with Amber and Gwen. Sariah was fascinated with everything that was Amber. We had watched Cinderella earlier in the day and I think she thought Amber was Cinderella. Her shoes were sparkling pretty and her dress was fluffy and fun. Sariah couldn't get enough of Amber.

Here she is holding the pretty shoes and sitting with her princess.
The 3 gals who all met in Virginia and now live all over. Rachel and her lovely ladies.

This cute Grandpa from St. Johns is Stephanie's uncle I think. Sariah loved him and had him read her stories. He was great with her.

Little Miss waiting for the ring ceremony to start. Steph got married in the Mesa Temple earlier in the day and did a ring ceremony later that evening for Mike's family who are not members of the church.

Rachel Breakfast

Valentines weekend my cute sister Rachel came to Mesa for a wedding. One of her best friends from Virginia was getting married....wahoo for Steph! She was only in town for about 36 hours, so every moment we had with her we took advantage of to the fullest.
Wanting to make sure that she got to hang out with our littlest sisters, we went over to Dad's for breakfast. I made scrambled egg surprise....which I might blog about on another day....and Menleigh made waffles. Of course we took pictures...

Little Laurel Loo and Rachel Cuteness Squared, Sariah and Brynn

Everyone....but Dad....Justin didn't want to be in the picture...can you tell?

So I let him leave and we took another one.

Cute Dad and Patty Love

Love these 2! Love them!!

It really is next to impossible to get Rachel to make a straight face in pictures.

Dad and Rachel being silly.

I couldn't believe how long Rachel's hair had gotten...it's as long as mine now and in this picture if I didn't know that I was taking the picture I would of sworn it was me behind all that hair. The only difference in our hair is that Rachel has tons of it....it is so thick.

Then I got 2 serious ones out of them.

This one is my favorite!

This past week Sariah started to say Honey. Honey is what we call Patty. Dad is Pops. Sariah has been able to say Pops for months now and it's huge that she is able to say Honey. I love hearing her ask to go see them. It is great being able to spend time with them and living in the same city makes it even more wonderful!
Here is Sariah with her Honey.

Sleeping Beauty

I have been weaning Sariah from her daytime nursing schedule. I have mostly loved nursing her the past 20 months. In the weeks before I decided to start weaning, there were a few specific times that I hated nursing and was starting to express that during or after nursing Sariah. Soo....for the mental and emotional health for both of us the decision was made to cut out the morning and afternoon feedings and keep our bedtime schedule the same.
In result of cutting out the nap time feeding, this is what you will find on most days around noon if we are in the car. 5 out of 7 days she falls asleep in her car seat. I will drive around for a bit and let her sleep. Sometimes I move her into the house or I will sit out in the car with the windows down. She gets anywhere from an hour to 2 hours of sleep in her car seat. Once we move into the house and she has her own bedroom with her toys, then I am going to try something new for nap time. Until now this is what is working.

Salsa Chicken---Yummy

I will admit that I am not the best cook in the world. I normally find a few recipes that I am good at making (and my family will eat) and stick with those until they are begging for variety. Over the last few years I have added to my list of recipes and this is one of our family favorites.
It sort of looks gross in the pan but it is so yummy and so very easy to make.
All you need is boneless, skinless chicken breasts, your favorite salsa, a can of black beans, and wahoo you have dinner. You place the number of chicken breasts in your pan. Pour a can of black beans over your chicken. Then cover the chicken and beans with your desired salsa...I use the walmart brand white corn and bean which is my favorite. I then put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 degree.

Then make whatever side you desire to go along with your meal. We make rice and broccoli or another veggie.

It seriously is the easiest thing to make and so yummy. The chicken comes out super moist and all of my family loves it!

Valentines Love for our Boys!

This year, with buying a new house and all that entails, we decided to go homemade on valentines day. Sariah and I made a love wall for Daddy and Justin in the front room on Friday. The love wall is still up and will be until we move into the house. It made for a love weekend. Little Miss had so much fun coloring with me as we made our hearts.

She is just such a pretty little gal and so much fun to do stuff with now.

She is going thru a phase where she will pick up her phone and call her daddy. It is so awesome how much she loves her daddy. She is such a daddy's girl. And Daddy sure does love his baby girl.

We make these yummy pizzas that are made out of these low calorie wraps. My sister gave me the idea of putting them together to make hearts. It sort of worked. I made 2 hearts for my 2 valentines. Sariah and I got the regular pizzas.

Here they are all topped with yumminess. There are peppers, broccoli, jalepanos, and some black bean veggie burger. Of course you got the sauce and cheese as well. These things are soooo yummy. If you want to ever try some come on over for dinner one night...mostly done on the weekend.

Happy guys with there love pizzas.

These 2 really light up my life and I am so grateful for every single day that I get to wake up with them in my life. Thank goodness that I have them for the rest of forever!

Valentines Class Party

Sariah and I got to go to Justin's class party this year. We had lots of fun with his classroom.
Here is the bag Justin made for all his valentines. We Love Ms. G! She is such a great teacher!!

For there party they had valentine floats and lots of cookies and candies. I thought the floats were a cute idea. Using strawberry or vanilla ice cream with cherry 7-up or regular 7-up. Lots of fun for the kids.

Justin's bag was filling up...you can see his book off to the side of his bag. He is such an avid reader. He is at a 6th grade reading level right now....yes he is only in 3rd grade and he has read sooo much. He keeps his book handy if he ever has a moment to read in peace.

Sariah really thinks the world of her big brother. She loves him to pieces.

Justin's 3rd Grade Class. Do yo see Justin?

Crazy class picture.
